1. Who publishes this website?

Chez Baba (chezbaba.com) is a personal, non-commercial website, created and run by a private individual nicknamed “Baba”, who drives between France and Morocco every year. In accordance with the French law on confidence in the digital economy (article 6-III-2 of the LCEN), the publisher, a private person acting in a non-professional capacity, has chosen not to publish their identity. Their contact details have been provided to the hosting provider.

2. Hosting

The website and its data are hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (European Union).

The domain name and audience measurement are provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States.

3. What is recorded when you leave a review

• Your scores (cleanliness, safety, food, facilities), the rest area concerned and the date;
• your comment and the services you ticked, if any;
• your first name or nickname, only if you fill it in: it is displayed next to your comment;
• your photo, only if you add one: it is resized by your phone before being sent;
• a random visitor number, created by your browser. It does not reveal who you are. It is only used to limit abuse (no more than one review per rest area per day, and ten reviews per day at most).

Chez Baba does not ask for your email, full name or phone number, and does not record your IP address.

4. What is this information used for?

Only to publish your review on the website and to calculate the ranking of rest areas. Every review is read before publication: to do so, its content (scores, comment, nickname, services, photo) is sent to the publisher via the Telegram messaging app. The information is never sold or used for advertising.

You send your review of your own free will: your consent is what allows it to be published.

5. How long is it kept?

Published reviews remain online as long as the website exists, unless you ask for them to be removed. Rejected reviews are never published. On simple request, any contribution (published or not) is deleted.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your contribution by writing to contact@chezbaba.com, specifying the rest area, the date and, if possible, your nickname or your comment so that we can find it. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).

7. Cookies and audience measurement

Chez Baba sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Visits are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies, which only provides overall figures (number of visits, pages viewed, countries).

Your browser also keeps, on your device only: the anonymous visitor number (see above), your first name or nickname to pre-fill it next time, and the number of photos already sent. You can delete them at any time by clearing the website's data in your browser.

The rest area page uses fonts loaded from Google Fonts.

8. Your photos

By sending a photo, you confirm that you took it yourself (or have the right to share it) and you authorise its publication on Chez Baba. Please do not photograph recognisable people or readable number plates. A photo can be removed at any time on simple request.

9. Published information

Information about the rest areas (services, locations, opening hours, scores) is given for guidance only. Some locations are approximate and services may change: always check on site. Reviews reflect the experience of those who wrote them. Chez Baba reserves the right to refuse or remove any content that is offensive, false, promotional or off-topic.

10. Ownership

The Chez Baba name, the logo, and the texts and photos of the home page belong to the publisher. Visitors' reviews and photos remain the property of their authors, who authorise their publication on the website.
